Peach Bitcoin ₿ USE
Buy or sell Bitcoin P2P, anywhere, anytime.
Custody. Peach says that since 31 August 2026 it no longer holds a signature in the trade escrow, so the seller controls the escrowed bitcoin; before then its terms describe a 2-of-2 escrow with a Peach key. Peach: Peach at a crossroads (31 Aug 2026)
Advisory · ESCROW PAUSED — Peach changed how trades work on 31 August 2026 (2026-08-31)
On 31 August 2026 Peach's founder wrote that its Swiss regulator is reconsidering the compliance agreement that lets Peach run a KYC-free marketplace, and that Peach has paused its escrow model until a final ruling. Until then Peach no longer has a signature in the escrow, so the seller controls the escrowed BTC; only KYC-verified users, manually whitelisted users, and sellers with zero lost disputes and enough past trades can post sell offers, and a user without KYC can be in only one trade at a time. Peach says its in-app dispute system stays available, that it still takes a 2% fee on releases, and that use may be restricted or non-compliant in the EU/EEA after 1 July 2026.
Our position: listed, with this notice, because the service still operates. The escrow protection described in earlier versions of this listing is not currently in place; Peach says the changes are temporary until the regulator's final ruling. The facts above come from Peach's own letter and website — check them yourself.
